So, you’d like to read my thesis. After I’m finished converting it to tex (something I’ve been thinking about doing for while) I’ll share it with you.

Yeah, Naked Lunch is one my favorite Cronenberg movies. The first time I saw it felt altered for a while afterwards, not many movies have had this affect on me. The interesting thing is that the insects aren’t really mentioned that much in Naked Lunch novel they are mainly a product of Cronenbergs twisted imagination. And yes, Burroughs did all the drugs he came across, actually the foreword to Naked Lunch contains Burroughs’ own drug encyclopedia and some say that Burroughs was [i]a[/i] living drug encyclopedia.

The main reason why I chose Cronenberg and McLuhan because of Videodrome, which really toys with, and perverts, the ideas of McLuhan. So, if you haven’t seen that one, do it when you get the chance you won’t regret it.

McLuhan was quite hard to to grasp at first and his ideas really makes more and more sense when you see them in the light of the Internet (media convergence) and the media of today.
