Since then, I used a lot of distros, just to name a few:

  • Ubuntu
  • Gentoo
  • Arch Linux
  • Sourcemage
  • Fedora
  • OpenSUSE

Right now I stick to Arch, it’s a very nice distro, it’s fast, easily installed and pacman is a very good package manager. Also writing own PKGBUILDs is not that complicated. The Arch community is one of the most helpful and friendly communities in the whole Linux world.

As the kernel I am using the Zen kernel which is a very good patched Linux kernel. It has a lot of features which are not in the official kernel. (for example: Reiser4).
